1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Vivah ("Vivah", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading the Vivah app, registering an account, or browsing the platform, you unconditionally agree to comply with these Terms.
2. Eligibility & Legal Marriage Capacity
To register or maintain an active membership on Vivah, you must satisfy the following mandatory conditions:
- You must be at least 18 years of age (for women) and 21 years of age (for men), or meet the minimum legal marriageable age under the laws of India.
- You must be legally competent to marry under your applicable personal law or the Special Marriage Act, 1954 (i.e., unmarried, legally divorced with a valid decree, or widowed).
- You must successfully complete mandatory Government ID verification (Aadhaar / DigiLocker / Passport) and dynamic video selfie verification.
3. Truthfulness of Profile & Astrological Data
You agree to furnish strictly accurate, truthful, and non-deceptive information regarding your identity, birth time and place (for Kundali Milan calculations), educational degrees, profession, and family background.
Providing forged documents, misleading biodatas, stolen photographs, or impersonating another person is an offence and will result in permanent account termination and potential legal referral under applicable cyber laws.
4. Community Code of Conduct & Dignity
Vivah maintains an uncompromising zero-tolerance policy against misconduct. Members agree to:
- Engage with prospective partners and their families with courtesy, dignity, and mutual respect.
- Never use abusive, derogatory, sexually explicit, obscene, or defamatory language in in-app chats or calls.
- Never solicit money, financial loans, investments, gifts, or dowry through the platform.
- Never bypass or attempt to circumvent anti-screenshot, photo blur, or privacy safeguards.
5. In-App Audio & Video Calling Guidelines
Vivah provides encrypted in-app voice and video calling to allow prospective matches to connect comfortably without exchanging personal mobile numbers. You agree to use this feature solely for dignified matrimonial conversations. Recording calls without mutual consent is strictly prohibited.
6. Verification Disclaimer & User Discretion
While Vivah enforces stringent government ID verification, AI selfie liveness checks, and community vouching, users and their families are advised to exercise reasonable independent judgment, personal discretion, and standard matrimonial background due diligence before solemnizing any marital alliance.
7. Termination & Account Suspension
Vivah reserves the right to suspend or permanently delete any profile that breaches these Terms, violates our code of conduct, receives credible reports of fraudulent activity, or fails periodic verification audits.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Delhi NCR / Bengaluru, India.
